Description
We are seeking an organized and technically skilled IT Operations Specialist to support and coordinate our technology operations across The Barnstable Group. This role combines IT administration, project coordination, vendor management, Microsoft 365 administration, security tracking, asset management, and end-user support.
As a key member of the IT team, you will work closely with employees, vendors, managed service providers, and leadership to ensure technology initiatives remain organized, on track, and aligned with business needs.
This hybrid position requires regular in-office collaboration and occasional travel between company locations throughout Cape Cod.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day-to-day IT operations, requests, and technology initiatives
  • Support technology projects, software deployments, upgrades, and user communications
  • Track security remediation efforts, audits, and technology-related action items
  • Administer Microsoft 365 users, groups, permissions, and SharePoint access
  • Manage technology asset inventory, equipment deployment, and lifecycle tracking
  • Coordinate with technology vendors and service providers
  • Provide support for business applications and user access management
  • Deliver hands-on troubleshooting and onsite support when needed
  • Travel to company office locations to support users and technology resources

Requirements
Key Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in IT support, IT operations, systems administration, or a related technical role
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience coordinating projects, vendors, or operational initiatives
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
  • Experience with SharePoint, endpoint management, and technology asset tracking
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity, audit remediation, or compliance initiatives
  • CompTIA, Microsoft, or related certifications

Work Environment & Travel:
  • Hybrid work arrangement requiring approximately three days per week in the office.
  • Ability to travel between company locations throughout Cape Cod as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to perform occasional lifting and setup of computer equipment and other IT equipment.
