Each year, for three weeks in the late summer, the US Open is the focus of the sports & entertainment universe. Passionate fans from around the world come to NYC to be a part of the event that has redefined 'spectacular' and has become a worldwide pop-culture destination. We are seeking individuals to work in our Player Services Areas to play a crucial part in crafting the 2026 US Open player experience!

Why Work for the USTA?
The Role

The Player Services Areas team strives to provide excellent customer service to all US Open players and their teams during the tournament, and works behind-the-scenes to ensure a seamless operation. This is a single application and process for all of the areas listed below, and if selected, candidates will be placed into one specific area for the duration of the tournament.
Practice Court Reservation Staff
  • Assist with managing daily practice court reservations and track court usage.
  • Support the smooth operation of the practice courts by ensuring players' needs are met and the courts are kept clean and ready for use.
  • Apply critical problem solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

East Practice Court Attendant
  • Assist with ensuring practice courts are tidy, and ready for use.
  • Restock the practice courts with towels and water.
  • Assist with drying the courts when necessary.

Locker Room Attendant
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness, and presentation of the player locker rooms.
  • Ensure that the locker room is stocked and organized, providing players with a welcoming and comfortable environment.
  • Assist players and their teams within the locker room, practicing strong customer service skills

Fitness Center Attendant
  • Ensure the safety and security of the fitness center equipment.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the fitness center, ensuring it is a safe and welcoming environment for the players.
  • Exercise strong customer service skills in interacting with players as they enter the gyms

Player Escort/Golf Cart Escort
  • Escort players to and from match courts, practice areas, and other designated locations on the tournament grounds.
  • Maintain a calm and professional demeanor while providing a smooth and efficient experience for players navigating the grounds.

Player Concierge
  • Provide customer service at each Concierge Desk location, assisting players with general enquiries related to the US Open and its operations, while maintaining tidiness of the Player Lounge.
  • Greet and welcome players at the Player Entry point, serving as a first touchpoint for any general enquiries, while maintaining tidiness of the Player Garden.
  • Carry out the servicing of the stadium court Player Boxes on a daily basis, working closely with the Player Concierge Supervisor to monitor match cadences and turnovers.
  • Assist with Garden Parties, Gifting Suite, and Ticketing operations as and when required.

Legends Suite Visit Hosts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for players participating in our player appearance program. Taking direction from the Supervisor to manage player appearances with precision and ensuring a seamless and positive experience for both the player and client.
  • Act as the host by introducing the player to groups of high touch suite clients, fostering an atmosphere of exclusivity while maintaining a poised, professional demeanor at all times, and showcasing strong knowledge of the sport and its history.
  • Proactively "read the room" to monitor guest interactions, redirecting focus or intervening when necessary to ensure a positive experience for all stakeholders.

Compensation: This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $19.00.
