Job description

VCI is seeking an Administrative/Technical Specialist for the Office of Human Resources Management (HRM), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Administrative Support Services are needed to supplement HR staff at the CBP Processing and Servicing Center.
Duties: 

Positions are located in a hybrid office setting and are primarily sedentary in nature. The following are very brief descriptions of tasks covered under this scope of work. The task items listed below are typical but not intended to be all-inclusive.Contract personnel assigned to the Front Office function shall perform the following office operations, including but not limited to:
Front Office Junior Technical Specialist

  •  Collaborate with senior HR professionals on process improvements;
  •   Retrieve metrics and data analytics information;
  •  Gather and review relevant HR data;
  •   Data gathering and draft detailed responses to high level inquiries and requests;
  • Analyze data to determine appropriate outcome;
  •  Practice customer service skills with internal and external customers
  • Prepare, review and reconcile documentation in electronic and/or hard copy format, including editing, updating, consolidating, formatting and manipulating documents in software applications to include but not limited to Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and MS Visio.
  • Develop and/or improve the quality of existing documentation for technical presentations and statistical reports in support of program management functions. Work products may be in applications including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, MS Visio and Internet browsers.

Technical Skills:

  •  Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to prepare and make group/executive presentations
  • Resourcefulness, initiative and skill to function in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail in goal/task accomplishment with minimal supervision
  •  Professionalism and the ability to interact effectively with others
  • Ability to meet planned and unscheduled deadlines in a timely manner
  • All personnel shall be able to work independently.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe
  • US citizenship and English fluency. Must have REAL ID. 
  • Meet DHS Suitability Adjudication and Obtain Clearance. Must sustain said clearance throughout term.
