Job description

Location: Remote; candidates must reside in or be within reasonable commuting distance of the Crane, Indiana; Lexington Park, Maryland; or Charleston, South Carolina areas.
Travel: Occasional local and regional travel is required for career fairs, hiring events, customer-related activities, and other business needs.
Employment Type: Full-time
Position Summary
RMC is seeking a Technical Recruiter to manage full-cycle recruiting for technical, professional, and cleared positions supporting U.S. Government and Department of Defense customers. The Technical Recruiter will partner with hiring managers, program leadership, and Human Resources to identify, engage, assess, and hire qualified talent for mission-critical programs.
This is a remote role; however, the successful candidate must be based near Crane, Indiana; Lexington Park, Maryland; or Charleston, South Carolina to support local recruiting efforts, career fairs, and other in-person activities as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for technical, cleared, professional, and mission-support positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers and program leadership to understand position requirements, required skills, labor-category alignment, hiring priorities, and candidate qualifications.
  • Source and engage active and passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, Boolean search, referrals, professional networks, resume databases, and direct outreach.
  • Screen candidates for technical qualifications, relevant experience, clearance eligibility, availability, compensation expectations, and overall fit.
  • Coordinate interviews, communicate candidate status, gather hiring-team feedback, and support offer and pre-employment processes.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for hard-to-fill, recurring, contingent, proposal, and surge hiring requirements.
  • Maintain accurate candidate, requisition, interview, and disposition records within the applicant tracking system.
  • Deliver a timely, professional, and positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
  • Attend career fairs, military transition events, community hiring events, industry conferences, and other recruiting activities as needed.
  • Support employer-branding, recruiting-marketing, employee-referral, and talent-community initiatives.
  • Track recruiting activity and performance metrics, identify sourcing trends, and recommend improvements to recruiting processes.
  • Ensure recruiting activities comply with company policy and applicable employment, equal-employment-opportunity, and federal-contractor requirements.

Requirements
  • Three or more years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in government contracting, defense, federal services, or a technical recruiting environment.
  • Experience recruiting for technical roles such as cybersecurity, information technology, systems engineering, software development, cloud, network engineering, intelligence, logistics, or program support.
  • Working knowledge of government-contracting recruiting, including security-clearance considerations, labor-category requirements, contract-driven hiring, and hard-to-fill technical talent markets.
  • Demonstrated sourcing experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search techniques, job boards, resume databases, professional networks, and direct candidate outreach.
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system and maintaining accurate recruiting records and candidate dispositions.
  • Strong communication, organization, relationship-management, and candidate-engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Must reside in or be within reasonable commuting distance of Crane, Indiana; Lexington Park, Maryland; or Charleston, South Carolina.
  • Ability to travel periodically for local and regional recruiting events and other business needs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience recruiting candidates with active U.S. Government security clearances, including Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, and polygraph requirements.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Navy, intelligence-community, or federal civilian customers.
  • Experience with proposal recruiting, contingent hiring, incumbent capture, recompete staffing, or transition recruiting.
  • Familiarity with OFCCP, EEO, and federal-contractor recruiting compliance practices.
  • Professional recruiting certification or active U.S. Government security clearance.
