Mustard brings a bold creative vision to AGBO: to expand what storytelling can be through immersive, interconnected worlds that span across media. We're building the future of storytelling-and we're looking for bold, creative minds to help shape it. If you're ready to help define what comes next, we'd love to meet you.
Position Summary:

  • Support the implementation, integration, and optimization of assets within Unreal Engine, ensuring adherence to performance and memory budgets.
  • Develop, refine, and maintain materials, shaders, and rendering workflows that support the project's artistic direction.
  • Partner with artists to troubleshoot technical challenges related to assets, lighting, rendering, materials, and in-engine content implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve pipeline efficiency, automation, and content scalability across multiple disciplines.
  • Help establish technical standards and best practices for asset creation, optimization, and implementation.
  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing to ensure workflows are accessible and sustainable across teams.
  • Participate in R&D initiatives, evaluating new tools, workflows, and emerging technologies that support real-time content creation.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving performance, compatibility, and rendering issues throughout development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • 3-8 years of professional experience as a Technical Artist in games or interactive media.
  • Strong experience working in Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5).
  • Proficiency with one or more DCC tools such as Maya, Blender, Houdini, 3ds Max, or similar software.
  • Experience supporting a variety of art disciplines, including environments, characters, materials, lighting, VFX, or world-building.
  • Strong understanding of real-time rendering principles, optimization techniques, and asset performance considerations.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance artistic goals with technical constraints.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and creative disciplines.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving production environments where adaptability and initiative are valued.
