Job description

Our mission: to eliminate every barrier to mental health.
At Spring Health, we're on a mission to revolutionize mental healthcare by removing every barrier that prevents people from getting the help they need, when they need it. Our clinically validated technology,Precision Mental Healthcare, empowers us to deliver the right care at the right time-whether it's therapy, coaching, medication, or beyond-tailored to each individual's needs.
We proudly partner with over 450 companies, from startups to multinational Fortune 500 corporations, as a leading provider of mental health service, providing care for 10 million people. Our clients include brands you use and know like Microsoft, Target, and Delta Airlines, all of whom trust us to deliver best-in-class outcomes for their employees globally. With our innovative platform, we've been able to generate a net positive ROI for employers and we are the only company in our category to earn external validation of net savings for customers.
We have raised capital from prominent investors including Generation Investment, Kinnevik, Tiger Global, Northzone, RRE Ventures, and many more. Thanks to their partnership and our latest Series E Funding, our current valuation has reached $3.3 billion. We're just getting started-join us on our journey to make mental healthcare accessible to everyone, everywhere.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategic Operations, the Associate Director of Strategic Operations will focus on driving operational rigor, scalability, and gross margin expansion across the business. This leader will be embedded within the operations organization but partner closely with Finance, Product, Revenue, Clinical, and Customer teams to improve how we deliver care - ensuring we do so efficiently, sustainably, and at scale.
This role is deeply execution-oriented. In addition to identifying high-impact efficiency opportunities, this person will serve as the programmatic owner of large, cross-functional initiatives - ensuring teams remain aligned, accountable, and on track to deliver measurable outcomes. Unlike traditional business strategy roles that focus on market expansion or new growth vectors, this role is centered on optimizing the core: improving unit economics, strengthening operational performance, and building durable systems that unlock long-term profitability.
This is a hybrid role based in New York City, with an expectation to be in office 2-3 days a week. Our office is located at 60 Madison Avenue. Additionally, occasional travel may be required for company or team events.
What You'll Do
  • Strategy: Lead strategic operational efficiency initiatives by diagnosing workflow, system, and cross-functional inefficiencies and designing scalable solutions.
  • AI Leverage: Identify and evaluate opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve operational efficiency, reduce cost-to-serve, and enhance scalability.
  • Financial Ownership: Translate margin targets into actionable operational initiatives with clear owners, timelines, and measurable KPIs.
  • Program Leadership: Own complex, cross-functional programs across Operations and adjacent teams (Product, Revenue, Finance, Clinical).
  • Governance: Establish governance structures, milestones, and success metrics to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and at impact.
  • Business Case Development: Build business cases for automation, tooling improvements, vendor optimization, and process redesign.
  • KPI Rigor: Connect financial targets to day-to-day operations through performance dashboards, KPI rigor, and accountability cadences.

What Success Looks Like in This Role
  • Cross-functional programs executed with strong stakeholder alignment and minimal slippage.
  • Margin improvement initiatives delivered on time and at target impact.
  • Clear operational dashboards that give leadership visibility into KPI performance.
  • Reduced friction across teams due to improved dependency management and governance.
  • A culture of accountability and execution rigor within the Operations organization.

What You'll Bring
  • 4-6 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or strategic operations; top-tier consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • 1+ years of operating experience at a high-growth or scale-stage company.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven track record driving operational or cost-efficiency initiatives tied to financial outcomes.
  • Understanding of how AI tools can be applied to manual processes, with the ability to evaluate ROI, risks, and change management considerations.
  • Strong financial fluency - comfort working with margin models, cost structures, and performance metrics.
  • BA or BS in any field required; MBA strongly preferred.

The target base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $184,000, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including equity and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Databaseat minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
