The Field Service Engineer is a critical part of the support team who is responsible for the on-going support of active customer sites. He/she will conduct preventive maintenance, resolve technical issues remotely and at customer sites, lead training efforts, and perform commissioning and testing of the AutoStore system. Support will be focused on the AutoStore product but could include additional third-party systems and integrations based on the specific customer site.
This is a customer-facing position. The candidate will need strong communication, customer service, technical, organizational, and troubleshooting skills. This position is key to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and fostering strong customer relationships, which is vital to our overall business success.

Your tasks

  • Customer site support - Maintain active customer sites to ensure the highest possible system availability and stability.

  • System commissioning - Perform commissioning and testing of all AutoStore hardware and software before customer handover.

  • Troubleshooting events - Handle customer support issues through remote ticketing and onsite troubleshooting.

  • Documentation creation - Produce detailed documentation covering best practices, SOPs, and resolution methods.

  • Customer training - Deliver initial and ongoing training for end users and maintenance teams on AutoStore and Kardex subsystems.

  • Rampup support - Assist customers during the posthandover rampup phase of new projects.

  • Travel requirements - Travel to project sites for trips of about a week; total travel 60-70%.

Your profile

  • Technical Background in automation, electromechanical systems, robotics, or intralogistics (preferred).

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.

  • Excellent customer communication and service mindset.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.

  • Experience with commissioning, maintenance, or service engineering is an advantage.

  • Willingness to travel frequently.

  • Valid driver's license.
