American Cruise Lines, the largest U.S. cruise company, is seeking a motivated and personable Recruiting Assistant to join our in-house Talent Acquisition team in Guilford, CT. As our fleet continues to grow, so does our need for top-tier talent across a range of hospitality and maritime roles. In this role, you’ll provide essential administrative and recruiting support while helping create a positive experience for candidates and internal teams.
You’ll support the Talent Acquisition team with day-to-day responsibilities including answering phones, responding to candidate inquiries, maintaining applicant records, and assisting recruiters throughout the hiring process. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, friendly, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and respond to general candidate inquiries.
  • Provide professional and friendly customer service to candidates and internal team members.
  • Support TA Managers with day-to-day administrative and recruiting tasks.
  • Schedule interviews, meetings, and candidate appointments.
  • Maintain accurate candidate information in the applicant tracking system (Paycor preferred).
  • Assist with moving candidates through the recruiting and hiring process.
  • Communicate with candidates regarding interviews, next steps, and general questions.
  • Assist with job postings and maintaining job advertisements.
  • Monitor recruiting email inboxes and respond to or route inquiries appropriately.
  • Assist with resume reviews, candidate outreach, and other recruiting tasks as needed.
  • Complete data entry, spreadsheets, reporting, and other administrative projects.
  • Maintain organized and accurate recruiting records and documentation.
  • Handle confidential candidate information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Provide general administrative and office support to the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and fast-paced team environment.
Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional, friendly, and comfortable answering phones and interacting with candidates.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous administrative, recruiting, customer service, or office experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems or HR systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Guilford, CT.
