Job description

Amarr, part of global opening solutions leader ASSA ABLOY, is seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and experienced recruiter. The ideal candidate will have a passion for connecting with people, sourcing top talent, and facilitating the hiring process. This position, based in Lawrence, KS, plays a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and engaging candidates for various positions within our company and across the country.
In this position you will:
  • Establish and execute recruiting plans for all open positions to fit the needs of the hiring manager/company.
  • Screen all qualified applicants by conducting phone, video, and face-to-face interviews.
  • Utilize available resources - including LinkedIn, Indeed, and ATS - to source resumes of passive and active candidates.
  • Ensure timely completion of all full-desk recruitment activities, from intake to onboarding.
  • Complete, or ensure completion of, all preboarding, onboarding, and new hire orientation activities, ensuring all necessary new hire paperwork in complete and accurate.
  • Develop and maintain an outreach presence for recruiting to include community involvement, industry groups, and online recruiter networks - including college and high school networks.
  • Contribute to Amarr's digital marketing and branding strategy as it pertains to recruitment and retention.
  • Research and develop process improvements related to recruitment and job cycle times.
  • Maintain and report key performance metrics (KPM's) of recruitment activities.
  • Coordinate multiple activities with thorough and on-time deliverables.
  • Balance multiple openings and re-prioritize according to changing business needs.
  • Attend and/or implement recruitment events; including Job Fairs, Open Houses, and Special Events, including possible travel as needed.

Educational Requirements, Skills and Abilities:
  • 2-4 years of high-volume recruiting experience required, preferably in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources or equivalent work experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with ATS & HRIS systems required (experience with ADP and/or SuccessFactors preferred).
  • Experience sourcing through Indeed and LinkedIn Recruiter strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work a non-standard schedule, including nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Ability to travel nationwide with extended overnight travel as needed (up to 20%).
