Job Title: Supervisor

Reports To: General Manager

REPORTS TO: PLANT SUPERINTENDENT


General Purpose of Position

The primary role of a Production Supervisor at the Eaton Paper Mill is to ensure the workplace is safe and to manage and coordinate the efforts of hourly mill employees; ensure that production specifications are met with a high standard of quality; ensure compliance with all standards, policies, regulations, for the safe, environmentally sound production of a quality product. The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting Ox Industries culture and key behaviors. In addition, as a shift supervisor, you will be responsible for oversight of work for all hourly production employees.

How You Will Impact Ox Industries

    • Administers and models safety in his/her area of responsibility; participates in and enforces the safety program for the shift employees; reviews safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all shift employees. Ensures compliance with all applicable OSHA and plant safety standards.
    • Coordinates maintenance activities on shift.
    • Oversee and ensure the conformance of work in progress and finished good product to company, industry, and customer specifications at minimum cost and with optimum efficiency.
    • Proven ability to troubleshoot production and quality related issues, determine root cause and implement sustainable solutions.
    • Direct, train and coach employees.
    • Direct and execute daily production requirements.
    • Meet or exceed productivity goals.
    • Maintain waste generation (trim, cull), at or below budgeted standard.
    • Inspect the finished product to ensure quality specifications are met.
    • Management of employees to include performance feedback, coaching for improvement and discipline, as appropriate.
    • Maintain housekeeping excellence.
    • Ensure all production and employee reporting is completed timely and accurately for each shift.
    • Participate and ensure department remains compliant with industry and company audit standards.
    • Maintains compliance with all environmental policies and procedures; ensures that all city, county, state, and federal regulations

What You Need to Succeed

    • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred.
    • 1+ years in supervisory or management role
    • Experience in manufacturing environmentโ€”paper industry is a plus.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
