Program Manager

The Program Manager is responsible for leading a specific customer program or project type and managing the production resources required to deliver a quality program safely, on time, and within budget.

This role plans, organizes, schedules, and manages production manpower across the program to ensure each project has the right skills assigned at the right time to meet operational and budget goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • I will minimize work stoppages on my Program
  • I will ensure the timely completion of work documents for my program
  • I will ensure that all known impact items are processed immediately
  • I will Mentor, develop my supervisor’s organizational skills
  • I will support variable staffing requirements
  • I will ensure skill cross – utilization as required on my Program
  • I will ensure that aircraft visit plans/milestones are created and followed
  • I will ensure that the aircraft Status boards/Milestone boards are maintained daily
  • I will ensure the 24/48/72-hour plans are created and followed
  • I will provide daily aircraft status to the customer and FAS management
  • I will ensure the team’s vacation liability, sick time and the FAR requirements are tracked for my program
  • I will ensure plans are in place for weekends Manpower/Milestones to accomplish
Financial
  • I will ensure the budgets on my program are monitored daily and if off track I will assist the Supervisors to ensure Production Efficiency is met
  • I will monitor and report forecasted budget hours by project assigned
  • I will ensure Empower MX is utilized correctly and effectively on my program as required
  • I will ensure that estimate updates and settlement processes are maintained in a timely and cost-effective manner by getting approval for T&M work in advance of assigning task cards
  • I will ensure all team members assigned will be productive and efficient with their time
  • I will minimize and manage OT by planning it on my program
  • I will be responsible for invoicing labor, materials and outside services correctly
  • I will manage Return to Stock (Leftovers) for my Program
  • I will lead the continuous improvement process through those assigned to me
Quality
  • I will ensure all work is in compliance with work documents and FAA Regulations
  • I will ensure all follow the customer CAMP and our 145 Policies and Procedures
  • I will set and monitor high standards for my team regarding quality and compliance
  • I will ensure that all employees assigned are properly trained
  • I will ensure the work area is maintained in a clean, productive and efficient manner
  • I will mentor my Project Managers and leadership team on the importance of Quality and Compliance
  • I will communicate any potential quality problems and issues with the DOM and executive leadership
Safety
  • I will ensure that all employees always follow safety rules
  • I will ensure all employees always follow Process and Procedures
  • If I cannot correct an unsafe condition or behavior, I will notify the DOM or GM
  • I will ensure fall protection is used properly when required
  • I will ensure spotters are utilized as required around aircraft
  • I will ensure accidents, aircraft damage and injuries are reported, and reports are complete, accurate and turned immediately
  • I will ensure the work area (Hangar/aircraft) is monitored for cleanliness and safe working conditions
  • I will communicate to the DOM and Executive leadership if an emergency occurs
