The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and able to move beyond compiling information to identify what changed, why it matters, and what leadership should be watching.
Key Responsibilities:
Monthly Portfolio Monitoring

- Develop concise commentary that highlights key takeaways and provides context around company and portfolio performance.
- Maintain reporting calendars, data definitions, templates, and quality controls to support a consistent and efficient monthly process.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate recurring reporting and analysis.
Risk Monitoring & Analysis
- Incorporate key risk indicators and changes in company risk profiles into the monthly portfolio view.
- Work with risk owners and other stakeholders to gather and synthesize information on material risks, emerging exposures, and mitigation activities.
- Track changes in risks and mitigation actions over time.
- Assist in identifying common themes, emerging issues, and potential risk concentrations across the portfolio.
Portfolio Analytics & Insights
- Perform analysis of company and portfolio performance to identify trends, variances, and areas of potential concern or opportunity.
- Support the development and maintenance of dashboards, scorecards, and other portfolio-monitoring tools.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis in support of portfolio management, risk management, and leadership priorities.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Build effective working relationships with portfolio company teams and internal partners across finance, risk, and other functions.
- Coordinate recurring information requests and follow up on questions or inconsistencies.
- Help ensure information provided across the portfolio is timely, accurate, and based on consistent definitions and reporting standards.
- Prepare materials and analyses for discussions with management and other stakeholders.
Highly Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, engineering, data analytics, or a related field.
- Approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience in portfolio management, FP&A, corporate finance, risk management, strategy, investment analysis, business analytics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with financial, operational, and risk data.
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and identify the issues most relevant to management.
- Strong written communication skills with an ability to develop concise, executive-ready commentary and presentations.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and consistency.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a recurring monthly process involving multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
