Payroll Administrator
This confidential Payroll Administrator opportunity is with a well-established organization seeking an experienced payroll professional to manage multi-state payroll operations. The role is responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. This position works closely with HR, benefits, employee relations, and finance teams and plays a key role in maintaining accurate payroll processes and reporting. The position offers a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Process biweekly and monthly payroll for multiple locations.
· Transmit payroll payments and associated files according to established schedules.
· Maintain payroll records including new hires, terminations, banking information, deductions, and tax data.
· Administer garnishments, deductions, and other required withholdings.
· Support time and attendance systems including schedules, manager access, and system maintenance.
· Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, including general ledger entries and monthend reporting.
· Monitor payroll laws and tax regulations for states where employees are located.
· Support payroll training initiatives when needed.
· Manage yearend payroll processes including W2 preparation, tax filings, and audits.
· Respond to payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
· Collaborate with HR and finance teams to improve payroll procedures and ensure accuracy.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
· 7+ years of multistate payroll processing experience.
· Advanced experience with ADP Workforce Now.
· Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and tax compliance.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
· High attention to detail with strong analytical and communication skills.
· Ability to handle sensitive payroll and HR information with confidentiality and professionalism.
