Job description

Acton Medical Associates, PC is looking for Patient Services Associates to join our team! This role is essential to our practice, as the Patient Services Team are the first point of contact for patients arriving for their appointments.

The Patient Services role is a customer service role at our busy medical practice. Daily tasks include:

  • Greet and check in patients for appointments
  • Verify insurance and demographic information
  • Process co-payments
  • Schedule patients for follow-up or future appointments
  • Answer patient phone calls regarding appointments
  • Ensure our patients feel comfortable, welcomed, and have the best experience possible at our practice
  • Some weekend hours may be required

Candidates should have:

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, manage time effectively and perform under pressure
  • Customer support/service experience
  • Active listening and good communication skills
  • Ability to use/learn a multi-line phone and basic computer systems (Word processing, database navigation)
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different patient needs
  • Medical office experience a plus
