Sante Health System is encouraging all Medical Assistants in the Fresno, CA area to apply to join our team at one of our medical office teams, Elmore Medical Vein and Laser in the Fresno, CA area. In this medical assisting position, you would provide top-notch customer service both in-person and over the phone and assist our physicians with delivering specialty care to our patients.

WORK SHIFT
  • Part Time: Tuesday through Thursday
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants
  • Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

THE DAY-TO-DAY AT OUR MEDICAL OFFICE

When patients come to our medical office, you welcome them with your warm smile and exuberant demeanor. You check them in and verify their insurance and personal information on their records. As you manage patient files, records, schedules and other information, you always maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

You find this medical assisting role rewarding because you get to help deliver primary health care and patient care management. Before patients arrive, you ensure that exam and treatment rooms are stocked with the necessary instruments and supplies and necessary items are sterilized. You maintain the inventory to ensure supplies are organized and stocked. To prepare patients to see the physician, you gently obtain their vitals and determine the nature of their visit. You provide patient teaching related to pre and post care instructions. You will measure each patient for compression stockings as recommended by the provider. Absorbed on delivering patient-focused care at all times, you assist physicians by preparing patients for minor surgeries and treatments, as well as applying compression stockings, wound care bandages and dressings.

In addition to your medical assisting responsibilities, you also handle a variety of office duties including screening calls, relaying messages by phone or mail, sending out-going referrals, and answering patient questions about general policies and procedures. In addition, you partake in keeping supplies and inventory well managed and ordering more supplies as needed. In your downtime, you are sure to keep your work area and the lobby neat and orderly. This fast-paced environment keeps you on your toes, but your positive attitude and helpful nature ensure your success at our medical office.
