Location: North Houston / Willowbrook, TX
Pay Rate: $17–$19/hr, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview

TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join a well-established dermatology and skin surgery practice in the North Houston/Willowbrook area.

The ideal candidate will have recent dermatology Medical Assistant experience, a positive attitude, excellent bedside manner, and strong communication skills. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a patient-focused environment and is looking for a position with potential for permanent placement.

Job Duties

  • Assist physicians and providers with general dermatology procedures.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
  • Assist with Mohs surgery and other dermatology procedures.
  • Sterilize and prepare medical instruments.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed.
  • Document patient information and clinical notes in the EHR.
  • Provide professional and compassionate patient care.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical areas.
  • Follow all applicable safety and infection-control procedures.
  • Travel occasionally to nearby clinic locations, including Bellaire on Thursdays and Sugar Land one Friday every other month.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent dermatology Medical Assistant experience.
  • General dermatology experience.
  • Mohs surgery experience.
  • Experience with EMA EHR.
  • eClinicalWorks experience is acceptable if EMA experience is not available.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, professional, and patient-focused.
