Job description

Biotech Cosmetic Surgery and medical Spa is a leading Cosmetic Surgery and medical spa specializing in cosmetic procedures , anti-aging solutions and advanced laser treatments. Summary

As a Medical Assistant at Biotech Cosmetic Surgery and Medical Spa , you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team in delivering cosmetic procedures. This position is essential to our commitment to patient satisfaction and safety. Candidate MUST be bilingual ENGLISH-SPANISH.

Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare professionals in performing cosmetic procedures and laser treatments.
  • Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories.
  • Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and ensure they are adequately processed,
  • Collecting, labeling and preparing laboratory specimens; manage service providers.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Provide education to patients regarding procedures, aftercare, and wellness practices.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in medical aesthetics.
  • Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment.
  • Support the healthcare team in managing clinic operations effectively.
  • Assist with dermatological procedures and surgeries. Perform blood draws at times
  • Assist with Botox, Filler, Laser and Chemical Peel treatments
  • Thoroughly explain procedures, treatments and after care to patients
  • Perform suture removals and dressing changes
  • Write and send prescriptions
  • Educate and facilitate the sale of products and aesthetic services
  • Answering phone calls and patient messages and obtaining prior authorizations
  • Informing patients of their lab or pathology results
  • Other practice duties including administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of dermatology and cosmetic procedures is preferred.
  • Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
  • Ability to take vital signs accurately and perform basic medical assessments.
  • Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks, including record-keeping.
  • Ability to report to work with consistent attendance, works well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full compliance with HIPAA guidelines and other regulations.
  • Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dermatological treatments is essential.
  • Experience with medication administration protocols is required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to learn and grow.
  • Ability to cross train with other staff.
  • MUST BE BILINGUAL ENGLISH - SPANISH.
