Job Description
Operations Analyst (DC) - VA-540-004-029
NT Concepts is seeking an Operations Analyst to join our team in a Washington, DC, metro accessible office location. The Operations Analyst is responsible for executing a variety of support tasks for the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team. Support tasks include providing help desk support for the EDW, writing documentation and other end user communications, and tracking key metrics. This position will also support analysis of data loading issues and assist in the resolution of identified issues.
Duties to include the following:
• Address EDW technical issues originating from Help Desk tickets, interface with internal teams as required and communicate the resolution back to the end user.
• Maintain and update documentation related to EDW operation and support.
• Track and organize system usage metrics via Excel and the Business Objects Administration tool.
• Develop a working knowledge of the EDW data loading processes.
• Assist with production application execution and administration.
• Carry out EDW product marketing activities; such as writing articles and developing documents related to EDW functionalities and the end user community.
• Devise solutions for solving basic customer problems.
• Work extensively with end users and assist with training.
• Strive to improve technical expertise through the identification of new processes and technical alternatives to resolve problems and/or make general system improvements.
• Utilize Business Objects to create, manage and view reports.
• Perform daily monitoring activities of production systems.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in help desk support
• Clear and effective business / technical communication skills (oral and written)
• Position requires knowledge of SQL, UNIX and a scripting language
• The ability to work in a complex multi-faceted environment is required
• Due to contract requirements and the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
• Position is contingent upon satisfactory results from a pre-employment background check.
