Job description

Overview:
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Operations/Process Analyst with strong expertise in banking, financial services, and payment systems. The ideal candidate will analyze and streamline operational processes, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support payment operations across multiple platforms. This role requires strong analytical skills, regulatory awareness, and hands-on experience with modern payment technologies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze, document, and optimize end-to-end processes across ACH, SWIFT, RTP, card networks, digital wallets, and other payment channels.
  • Conduct process mapping, gap analysis, root-cause identification, and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with key regulatory and industry standards including PCI-DSS, AML/KYC, and ISO 20022.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Operations, Risk, and Technology to identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Support operational readiness initiatives for new payment features, platform changes, and migrations.
  • Use Excel and SQL to analyze transaction data, monitor operational performance, and generate insights for business decision-making.
  • Maintain and enhance workflow diagrams, SOPs, and process documentation using workflow tools (Visio, Lucidchart, or similar).
  • Assist in troubleshooting payment operational issues and validating system behavior during changes and releases.
  • Track KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics to ensure strong control and service delivery.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong understanding of banking, finance, and payment systems (ACH, SWIFT, RTP, card networks, digital wallets).
  • Demonstrated experience in process mapping, gap analysis, and process optimization.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as PCI-DSS, AML/KYC, and ISO 20022.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and workflow/process tools.
  • Experience with or exposure to payment platforms (preferred).
  • Strong analytical thinking, documentation skills, and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have
  • Experience in digital payments, fintech, or real-time settlement systems.
  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Understanding of API-based payment integrations.
