Job description

Netsimco, a Saalex Company is seeking an Operations Analyst II in Groton, CT. Saalex Corp., is an Engineering and Information Technology Services company with a focus on Test Range Operations and Management, Engineering and Logistics Services, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Services and Information Technology Services.

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $110k-$125k annually (depending on experience)
Work Location: Full-time onsite -Potential for up to $7k relocation/sign on bonus is available!

Essential Functions:

  • Analyze complex organizational problems to improve the coordination and management of people, materials, equipment, and financial resources
  • Apply analytical methods from mathematics, science, and engineering to support decision-making
  • Support organizational strategy, planning, forecasting, and resource allocation initiatives
  • Evaluate and improve performance measurement, scheduling, and operational efficiencies
  • Design and assess production facilities, systems, and processes
  • Analyze and optimize supply chain management, pricing, transportation, and distribution systems
  • Collect, organize, and analyze large and complex datasets
  • Select and apply appropriate analytical techniques, including:
    • Simulation
    • Linear and nonlinear programming
    • Dynamic programming
    • Queuing and stochastic-process models
    • Analytic hierarchy process
  • Develop and use mathematical models to represent real-world systems
  • Assess relationships among system components and assign quantitative values to model variables
  • Perform scenario and โ€œwhat-ifโ€ analyses by modifying model inputs to evaluate potential outcomes
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, Physics or Mathematics
  • 7 years' professional experience in operations research
  • Proposed personnel must demonstrate PWS relevant knowledge and experience with the principles of operations analysis and their application to tactical development exercises and undersea warfare. Underway periods on submarines or surface ships may be periodically required.
  • Submarine qualified on an operational submarine.

Security Clearance:

Active Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
