General Summary
The Medical Editor will be responsible for executing the highest editorial quality of a range of client-driven materials (all stages) for promotional medical education projects. This position will copyedit, proofread, fact check, and will work with staff at all levels across the company. Â
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Reviews, edits, and proofreads materials for correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation; consistency; reference accuracy, citation, and formatting; clarity of writing
Ensures all client guidelines are followedÂ
Materials that the Medical Editor will work on include but are not limited to:Â
Meeting materials (eg, invitations, brochures, correspondence, participant packets)
PowerPoint slide presentations (including figures/tables) and accompanying notes
Executive summaries and meeting reports
Web-based materials
Other materials generated through the company
Attends off-site client copy-review meetings
Performs other duties and assignments as directed
Minimum Job Requirements Â
Bachelor's degree
Minimum 3 years' experience in all aspects of medical/scientific editing, proofreading, references
Knowledge of AMA style
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Proven track record of producing error-free work by assigned deadlines.
