Job description

Our client is seeking a Marketing Analyst, Direct Mail to join the Marketing team at B2B manufacturing firm, based in Chicagoland.  The company is a rapidly growing, highly profitable, multi-channel marketer of commercial site furnishings and traffic control products. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented professional with a background in marketing analytics and experience managing large amounts of data from multiple sources.

The Marketing Analyst position is great opportunity for a detail-oriented, highly analytic individual who is seeking to become a well-versified leader in marketing data and analytics. The role primarily focuses on direct mail analysis, planning and execution, but also offers visibility into other marketing data and channels including digital campaigns, phone call analytics, customer behavior, product trends and web site performance.

Primary responsibility is overseeing the execution and subsequent analysis of the company's direct mail marketing campaigns. The analyst will gather and audit mailing list data files and build detailed selection instructions for the list broker.

The Marketing Analyst is a clear communicator who can translate large amounts of marketing data into simple written summaries to management. The Analyst must have strong time management skills and is able to bring teams together to ensure that the company's marketing calendar keeps to its deadlines.

.Requirements:

  • Manage and execute the direct mail circulation plan by keeping printer, list broker and service bureaus on task, providing them with consistent and clear communication on short-term and long-term deliverables.
  • Ensures the data accuracy and quality of the mailing list data files by running through a detailed check list.
  • Conducts regular status meetings with marketing vendors to address threats and opportunities to the direct mail marketing plan.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly marketing campaign reports and health summaries.
  • Oversees bi-monthly catalog reporting address matchback process.
  • Oversees marketing phone call tracking, assigning new phone numbers, ensuring quality of numbers and reporting.
  • Provides analysis for product developers as needed, showing them trends in past product purchases and the overall ROI of their products.
  • Analyzes and runs monthly reporting on customer behavior detailing new and repeat buyers and what type of customers are reordering most frequently
  • Participates in marketing planning and ideation sessions, providing input on future marketing campaigns based on historical performance and current trends.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, marketing or an analytical major. Quantitative degree preferred.
  • 2 + years of providing marketing analysis in a business setting.
  • Experience communicating results to various stakeholders within organization.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and Access is required.
  • Experience working with Google AdWords and Google Analytics is a plus.
  • Experience with NetSuite, Magento, Tableau and reporting/data visualization tools is a plus.
