Description
The Marketing Analyst supports data-driven decision making across Sales, Marketing, and Product teams by analyzing market trends, pricing, and performance data to drive profitable growth. This role serves as a foundational position within the Commercial organization, offering exposure to multiple business functions and opportunities for future advancement.
The Marketing Analyst will work closely with the Marketing Manager, Sales Team, Engineering Team, and other cross-functional partners to support a variety of initiatives, including:
  • Market research and competitive analysis
  • Monthly Business Unit reporting
  • Pricing analysis and support
  • Customer and product insights
  • Trade show preparation and execution
  • ERP master data management and reporting standardization

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Market & Competitive Analysis
  • Gather and analyze market data to support understanding of market size, growth trends, and share
  • Monitor competitor products, pricing, and positioning
  • Develop insights to support product recommendations and market strategies
  • Assist in developing product selection guides and competitive comparisons

Pricing & Data Analytics
  • Support pricing analysis and development of pricing recommendations
  • Analyze revenue, margin, volume, and profitability trends
  • Build and maintain pricing tools, models, and reports
  • Partner with Sales to incorporate market feedback into pricing decisions

Sales & Customer Support
  • Collaborate with Sales to identify opportunities and prepare customer-facing materials (presentations, technical documents, etc.)
  • Participate in customer meetings in a supporting role, capturing insights and feedback
  • Assist in developing follow-up materials and communication
  • Support training efforts and internal communication of product and market insights

Product & ERP Data Management
  • Maintain and update product, pricing, and customer data within ERP systems, including:
    • Price and price categories
    • New, existing, and obsolete products
    • Cross-references and superseded products
    • Customer groups
  • Support cross-reference and product mapping initiatives
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of master data

Reporting & Business Support
  • Contribute to monthly Business Unit reporting and performance tracking
  • Assist in forecasting and sales planning activities
  • Support development of standardized reporting tools and dashboards
  • Assist with trade show planning, coordination, and execution

After-Sales & Continuous Improvement Support
  • Partner with Sales, Quality, and Operations to monitor product performance and customer feedback
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve product performance and profitability
  • Support new product development and improvement initiatives

Administrative Responsibilities
  • Create and present professional PowerPoint presentations
  • Analyze and interpret data from multiple internal sources
  • Learn and utilize additional data analysis tools as needed
  • Submit travel expenses in a timely manner
  • Prepare for and contribute to monthly sales meetings

Additional Responsibilities
  • Support development of annual sales forecasts and market share analysis
  • Assist in execution of quarterly sales and marketing plans aligned with Business Unit goals

Requirements
Base Job Prerequisites
  • Business or Mathematics-related degree with 0-3 years of relevant experience (four-year degree preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to team success and achieve defined objectives
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to communicate professionally in both written and verbal formats, including presentations to small and large groups
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
  • Full Time Non-Exempt 40 hours per week.
  • 1st shift 7am-4pm Monday-Friday
  • Overtime as needed

Work Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting

Travel Expectations
  • 5-10% travel for sales trips and trade shows, adhering to company travel policies at all times.
