Tripoli Country Club, located in Brown Deer, WI, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Event Manager! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Summary
The Event Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of member and private events at the country club, including golf tournaments, racquets events, aquatic programs, social gatherings, and special club functions. This role ensures exceptional member experiences through seamless event execution, strong cross-department collaboration, and outstanding service standards.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Plans, organizes, and executes club-sponsored and private events, including golf tournaments, tennis and pickleball events, swim meets, poolside functions, social events, and holiday programming
  • Develops event timelines, layouts, run-of-show documents, and staffing plans
  • Runs the weekly BEO meeting; serves as a key communicator for property-wide event execution
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for members, vendors, and internal departments for assigned events
  • Oversees on-site event execution to ensure smooth operations, service excellence, and member satisfaction
  • Creates events in ForeTees for members to register via website and app
  • Generates digital art for club events
  • Assists the F&B Director with a strategic sales program designed to meet and exceed the club's sales and revenue goals in the areas of golf events, weddings, and social events
  • Works closely with Golf, Racquets, Aquatics, Food & Beverage, Facilities, and Member Services teams to align event goals and logistics
  • Assists the Food & Beverage Director in developing event budgets, pricing, and cost controls
  • Tracks event revenue and expenses; ensures accurate billing and documentation
  • Maintains event calendars, contracts, and post-event reports
  • Evaluates event success, provides recommendations for future improvements, and sends post-event surveys
  • Sources, coordinates, and manages vendors such as entertainment, rentals, décor, and audio/visual
  • Performs various F&B roles in the off-season, including but not limited to: manager on duty, server, hostess, and busser for large events
  • Manages F&B responsibilities in season, including but not limited to: scheduling banquet staff and conducting event training with servers and bartenders
  • Regular and reliable attendance
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, event management, or a related field preferred
  • Three to five years of experience in event planning, hospitality, or private club operations
  • Experience with sports-related or recreational events strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Demands
Frequently sits, talks, hears, and uses hands. Regularly walks and stands. Occasionally reaches with hands and arms, stoops, kneels, crawls, and crouches. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
 
Environment/Noise
Noise level is moderate. Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferences
  • Ability to read and speak English (e.g., associates are required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; equipment manuals may be in English)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
  • Knowledge of ForeTees, Jonas, and Microsoft Office (or similar) applications is helpful
  • Related experience involving food & beverage and catering sales is preferred
