Job description

The Sr. National Events Sales Manager, Tournaments & Fundraiserswill be responsible in growing our national portfolio of charity and fundraising golf tournaments. This role is responsible for identifying, acquiring, and managing new tournament partnerships across corporate, nonprofit, and association segments. They will own the full sales cycle-from prospecting and outreach to closing multi-year agreements-and help organizations elevate their golf events through our platform/services across our venue nationwide. This position will involve contacting and building relationships with key decision makers, tournament organizers and sponsors to secure counter-signed event agreements and manage all contract negotiations. The candidate will be required to support and work with executives and users across the entire organization as this is a highly visible and complex role. The Sr. National Events Sales Manager, Tournaments & Fundraiserswill report directly to the Sr. Director of National Events & Programs to receive guidance and feedback, as well as daily interaction with Event Sales Associates from the field. This role will be fully remote and will be a member of the Corporate Sales team and Dallas Office.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop strategic business plan to grow our National Tournament & Fundraiser portfolio
  • Negotiate annual contracts with senior executives, top decision makers, tournament organizers, and sponsors
  • Work closely and educate local event sales teams on our National Tournaments & Fundraising program; Work as one-team to execute targeted sales blitzes to leverage relationships within our current accounts as well as establish new business
  • Act as a trusted advisor on how to improve Tournament & Fundraising outcomes, drive retention and expansion (upsells, additional events)
  • Execute internal plan for account management through Salesfoce, sales cycle/transition, production metrics
  • Work efficiently within a fast-paced team environment while maintaining excellent product knowledge across all venues nationwide
  • Represent Topgolf as a brand ambassador at National Tradeshows/Conventions and uncover new event business as well as build brand awareness in golf industry

Critical Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with new guests, repeat guests, co-workers and management
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to excel and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Responds quickly and effectively to changing trends and circumstances; embraces change and welcomes fresh perspectives
  • Motivated and driven individual who can positively work with others to achieve all goals
  • Ability to develop clear action plans and drive processes with numerous interdependencies
  • Strong problem solving skills, analytical capabilities, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Tournaments & Fundraiser/events and experience in sports, entertainment, and/or hospitality.

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel, sometime in excess of 50%
