About the Role
Andy Frain Servicesis seeking a driven, detail-orientedEvent Managerto assist in leading event operations across our premierDallas-area Sports & Entertainment (S&E) venueswith primary focus atFair Park/State Fair of Texas.
In this role, you will work directly alongside the Account Manager to oversee event day operations, lead front-line security personnel and supervisors, and deliver exceptional safety and guest experiences for every fan, promoter, sponsor, and vendor.
Work Schedule Note:This position requires flexibility to work a dynamic, event-driven schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on venue calendars.

Key Responsibilities
Event Operations & Venue Leadership
  • Serve as the operational lead for smaller events, Event Orders (EOs), and concurrent venue dates across Dallas locations.
  • Supervise event-day execution, ensuring client security needs and account standards are fully met.
  • Lead staff sign-in/sign-out processes and coordinate accurate post-event payroll, time processing, and billing data.
  • Act as the primary lead or step in for the Account Manager in their absence.
Staffing, Onboarding & Development
  • Assist with the onboarding, training, scheduling, and distribution of event-day staff and supervisors.
  • Deliver pre-event briefings and address large groups (ranging from small teams to 600+ personnel).
  • Evaluate monthly event metrics, staff performance, and employee performance indicators (call-offs, attendance, counseling notes).
  • Coach, mentor, and guide supervisors and staff through personnel issues in accordance with company policy.
Logistics & Equipment Management
  • Manage the storage, distribution, maintenance, and tracking of venue radios, scanners, and ISS devices.
  • Prepare operational materials, shift rosters, and briefing documentation for event-day supervisors.
  • Submit formal equipment and supply requests 45 days in advance of operational needs.
Risk Management, Safety & Client Relations
  • Proactively identify and mitigate safety risks for guests, staff, and venue assets.
  • Meet regularly with venue clients to address security, emergency preparedness, and site safety protocols.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Federal and State OSHA, fire, and safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements
  • Education:Bachelor's degree preferred (ideally in Sports/Entertainment Management, Business, or related field).
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of guest and event services experience in stadiums, arenas, theme parks, hotels, or high-volume hospitality/entertainment facilities.
    • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience coaching a diverse workforce.
  • Certifications:Ability to obtain FEMA Certifications (100b, 200b, 700a, 800b, 901) and IAVM Trained Crowd Manager certification.
  • Technical Skills:Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with basic accounting/budget oversight principles.
Key Competencies
  • Public Speaking:Comfortable speaking and delivering briefings to crowds of up to 600+ team members.
  • Problem Solving:Proven ability to proactively resolve operational challenges autonomously under fast-paced conditions.
  • Communication:Exceptional, professional communication skills with strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand, walk, and navigate large venue spaces for extended shifts.
  • Ability to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with staff and venue clients.
  • Occasional lifting of small equipment and travel to regional sites as needed.
