Job Summary:

Performs breast imaging services and other Women's imaging services in the Center for Women's Wellness, while respecting patient's dignity and maintaining privacy. Meets patient's need for accurate information in unhurried, responsive manner.
Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.

Job Description:

4 days per day/days will vary- 9 hour shift. Hours between 6A-6P

  • May drive mobile van to client site or to scheduled site as needed. Explains procedure to patients and encourages questions performing the Mammography/DXA/Interventional procedure examinations. Uses positive verbal and non-verbal communication to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Prepares Digital and DXA equipment for daily/weekly QC tests at appropriate intervals. Assists Radiologist in interventional breast procedures. Obtain high quality images and minimizes radiation through quality positioning and techniques as indicated in the MQSA and ACR guidelines.
  • Accurately documents and maintain proper QC books for all rooms. Maintain a repeat rate below the National average of 4% or less per room.
  • Assists Clinical Engineering, PACS administrators when necessary.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by manager/supervisor
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • Graduate of an AMA school of Radiologic Technology. Registered Radiologic Technologist required (ARRT). Licensed in the state where work is being performed.
  • Maintain CEU's as required by the State & National levels.
  • Mammogram Certification required within 1 year after orientation/training is complete.

MOBILE VAN DRIVERS must meet requirements below:

  • Must have a Legal valid driver's license
  • Must have a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 6 months of hire
  • Must register on the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse & consent to queries
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Must pass MVR check
  • Must maintain current auto insurance policy at or above state minimum requirements

NOTE: The following occurrences would result in exclusion from driving Healthcare System vehicles: one or more of any major violations in the preceding 36 months, including but not limited to any type of DUI, refusing substance test, reckless driving, manslaughter, hit and run, eluding a police officer, any felony, drag racing, license suspension, and driving with a suspended license.
