About the Role:
Lighthouse Windows Inc is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Storefront Estimator to join our growing team in Santa Clara, CA. In this role, you'll play a key part in winning new business by delivering accurate, competitive bids for commercial storefront and glazing projects. If you thrive in a fast-paced construction environment and have a passion for precision, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
  • Review and interpret architectural drawings, project specifications, RFI's
  • Generate and log RFI's and emails with GC that clarify scope of work
  • Use Glazier Studio or other estimating software to conduct material takeoffs and labor analysis
  • Solicit and evaluate supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing
  • Collaborate with project managers and sales team to develop winning bid strategies
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for commercial storefront, curtain wall, and glazing projects
  • Track and manage multiple bids simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines
  • Maintain and update estimating databases, cost histories, and bid logs
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial glazing
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with storefront systems, door hardware, glass railing systems, interior partitions, glass, louvers, mirrors, fire rated systems, and multislide/bifolding doors.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
