NHRA continues to race forward with a number of key initiatives, including a multiyear partnership with FOX Sports to televise NHRA events from the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, and the Pro Mod Drag Racing Series. Position Summary:
The Track Business Coordinator reports to the General Manager and works alongside the Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park (LOIRP) Management and Operations staff. At LOIRP, we host over 100 days of track activity between our famous ΒΌ mile drag strip and our 7/10-mile oval track. The Track Business Coordinator is responsible for working with various internal departments, assisting the General Manager, managing accounts payable/accounts receivable, financial reports, timekeeping, and office management such as building access and security procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with all of the various internal departments to ensure that invoicing is accurate, timely and documented.
  • Manages the accounting procedures that account for ticket sales, managing the processes by which LOIRP collects, tracks, documents and reports business revenues and expenses.
  • Establish systems to plan, document and report around event and facility expenses.
  • Produce regular financial reports that detail actual event revenues and expenses.
  • Control the accountability, collection, tracking, reporting and documentation of all revenues.
  • Develop accounts payable procedures for invoice tracking, documenting, reporting and approval for payment.
  • Generate financial reports that detail expenses, revenues, and margins post-event.
  • Provide office management assistance to the General Manager as needed. Including managing facility rental contracts, suite sales, sponsor/suite deliverable fulfillment, etc.
  • Manage all employee waivers and credentials.
  • Manage payroll timekeeping database by inputting job codes and correcting employee coding.
  • Work with Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park General Manager and colleagues to develop the annual budget, along with capital and staff requisitions.
  • Verify, facilitate, document, and report all competitor payouts.
  • Cross-training opportunities in other areas of Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of finance experience is required.
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience is required.
  • Previous experience with payroll systems is preferred.
  • Previous office management experience in a plus.
  • The ability to exercise discretion, independent judgment, work independently and maintain a high degree of confidentiality is required.
  • Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Must maintain a high quality in all work including accuracy and timeliness.
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively with vendors and all levels of management both in writing and verbally.
  • Must have good platform skills and be comfortable when speaking to groups of people.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work at a computer all day.
  • Ability to talk on the phone as needed.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, run, climb stairs, lift up to 20lbs.
