NHRA continues to race forward with a number of key initiatives, including a multiyear partnership with FOX Sports to televise NHRA events from the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, and the Pro Mod Drag Racing Series. Position Summary

We seek fire/rescue and EMT personnel to assist at race events during the season (April-October). As a member of the Emergency Services Team, you will be an essential part of the guest experience. Your job will be to respond to on track incidents, facility incidents, and maintain emergency operating procedures. Emergency Services personnel will be located throughout Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park Raceway and alongside the racetrack to respond to emergency situations via vehicle or foot.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain fire/rescue and EMS response for fans, racers, and crew members throughout Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.
  • Respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively via vehicle or on foot.
  • Monitor designated areas alongside the racetrack and throughout the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with emergency services response protocols and procedures in a fast-paced racing environment.
  • Assist with crowd management and emergency evacuations as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and emergency responders during incidents.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications
  • Must be state certified firefighter and/or state certified EMR or EMT-basic (BLS certified).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be flexible with meal periods.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, climb, push, pull, run, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Due to the potential of operating a vehicle, you must be insurable under the NHRA insurance policy.
  • Must arrive on time and ready to work at shift start.
  • Enforce all facility policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guests.
  • Must be able to work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
  • Ability to follow and understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently.
