JOB SUMMARY:
The Manager of Application Development - IT leads the development, enhancement, integration, and support of enterprise applications with a primary focus on Infor M3 Cloud. This role provides leadership across application development, ERP, integration, and support functions while partnering closely with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable technology solutions that support operational and strategic objectives.
The position is responsible for overseeing application delivery, managing technical teams and priorities, driving ERP and integration initiatives, and ensuring the stability and performance of critical business systems. This leader promotes Agile best practices, fosters continuous improvement, and collaborates across business and technology teams to optimize processes, enhance user experience, and support organizational growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as required):
  • Lead, coach, and develop application development, ERP, integration, and support teams to ensure successful delivery of business and technology initiatives.
  • Oversee the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, and production support.
  • Provide leadership for Infor M3 Cloud enhancements, integrations, upgrades, issue resolution, roadmap planning, and business process improvements.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technology solutions that align with organizational priorities and objectives.
  • Manage team capacity, project priorities, timelines, risks, dependencies, releases, and delivery commitments across multiple workstreams.
  • Apply Agile methodologies to support planning, backlog management, sprint execution, prioritization, retrospectives, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Utilize Jira or similar tools to manage user stories, defects, enhancements, tasks, releases, and project progress.
  • Support and optimize ERP processes across order management, inventory, warehousing, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, finance, reporting, integrations, and EDI workflows.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, database, analytics, architecture, and vendor partners to ensure application reliability, scalability, performance, and security.
  • Establish and maintain development standards, testing practices, documentation requirements, change management processes, release controls, and support procedures.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for system incidents, recurring issues, integration failures, and business process disruptions.
  • Prepare and present project updates, performance metrics, risk assessments, system roadmaps, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, system effectiveness, delivery performance, and user satisfaction.
  • Manage relationships with software vendors, consultants, and service providers to support application performance and strategic technology initiatives.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Seven (7) or more years of experience in application development, ERP systems, systems integration, business applications, or related technology functions.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience leading application development teams, ERP teams, technical support teams, or cross-functional technology organizations.
  • Experience managing multiple teams, projects, or workstreams simultaneously, including prioritization, capacity planning, escalation management, and delivery oversight.
  • Hands-on experience supporting and enhancing Infor M3 Cloud or comparable ERP platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, software development lifecycle practices, and technology delivery frameworks.
  • Experience with Jira or similar project and work management tools.
  • Knowledge of ERP business processes, systems integration, APIs, middleware, databases, EDI, security practices, and application architecture principles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, vendor management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, logistics, warehouse, supply chain, retail, consumer goods, or similar operational environments preferred.
  • Experience with Infor OS, Infor ION, Infor IDM, Infor Factory Track, Infor Birst, M3 APIs, workflow automation, reporting, or interface monitoring preferred.
  • Spanish language communication skills preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, ITIL, Microsoft, cloud, or Infor-related certifications are preferred.
