This Management position resides within the Terminals Systems application team. The successful candidate will be working for one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. The Terminal Systems application team develops and supports many custom solutions for over 150 terminals for storing and handling various chemicals, and bulk products.
The candidate will engage in challenging assignments with opportunities for growth in their career.
This position is responsible for leading and directing the application development and project management activities related to the various systems that support our Bulk and Liquid Terminal facilities. The Manager makes independent decisions regarding work assignments and personnel training; participates in the budgeting and forecasting activities related to IT Resources and software for various Terminal systems. Direction received is in the form of Corporate Goals, annual objectives and company policy. It is required that this person have excellent communication and organizational skills to keep up with the day to day activity and respond timely to users requests.
What You Will Do
Work directly with middle to senior management as well as employees throughout corporate area.
• Leverage staff appropriately and contribute to staff development
• Ensure area is in compliance with published policies and procedures for Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance
purposes.
• Manage project schedules, capital AFEs, and a staff of up to 10 to 12 individuals.
• Experience in analyzing performance metrics, risks, and controls
• Group facilitation and presentation skills
• Design deliverables and proposals that address end-user needs (incl., scoping work products that meet or
exceed client expectations)
• Develop employee's skills, evaluate performance and provide feedback, and oversee resolution of employee
relations issues.
• Consult with business management and IT management to prioritize projects for business and technical
needs.
• Assign, coordinate and review work of staff. Ensure projects are completed within designated time frames and
tracks and reports progress to upper management.
• Ensure efficiency, quality and delivery timeliness of software that is developed for the supported business
area(s).
• Establish, plan, and administer the overall company policies and team goals/objectives
• Work with IT management team to analyze operation and efficiency of the IT group and recommend process
improvements.
• Work with 3rd party service and staffing providers as appropriate
• Participates in special projects or task forces as opportunities arise
• Work closely with their customers in defining customer requirements in designing, developing, and
implementing business application systems.
• Initiates and supports improvement plans for employees to succeed in their efforts to achieve the goals of the department
• Consistently maintain and demonstrate a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets, employees, and the general public.
• Develops close working relationships, access and responsiveness with clients.
What You Need
Minimum requirements:
Education:
• Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent professional experience.
Experience / Specific Knowledge:
• Over five years' work experience leading resources in software development or business management efforts.
• Work experience in analyzing performance metrics, risks, and controls.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge with Microsoft Reporting Solutions.
• Proven ability to interpret information gathered, and develop and present (orally and in writing) sound
business conclusions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage toward budget and work plan goals.

• Must have proven leadership skills, team-oriented, and a proactive and optimistic management style
• Ability to develop high performing and highly motivated work teams.
• Solid leadership, communication, motivation and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage project(s) that will include working with individuals with varying disciplines, backgrounds and experience level.

and respectful demeanor/attitude with co-workers, clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Must be accountable and take direction from Managers; keep required work schedules, which include regular
and predictable job attendance; focus attention on details; follow work rules.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
Working Conditions:
• Individual will be required to carry a cell phone and must be willing and able to support projects 24 hours per
day in case of emergencies.
• Overtime required and extended work hours in cases of emergencies.
• There is minimal travel with this position, less than 10%. Must be willing and able to travel when needed.
• Majority of the work will be conducted from an office environment.

Above the minimum requirement; not required but advantageous in this position:
• Experience with Inventory systems, Scheduling, Accounting, and general Invoicing is desired.
