Turn5 is a fast-growing eCommerce company serving automotive enthusiasts across multiple brands including AmericanMuscle.com, AmericanTrucks.com, ExtremeTerrain.com and Eckler’s.com. We build platforms, content, and customer experiences that help people customize, restore, and enjoy their cars and trucks. We’re people-first, team-oriented, and looking for someone excited to contribute to meaningful, high-impact work.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with developers and project management in a highly transactional OLTP environment to build new and support existing SQL code, structures, and data
  • Evaluate and performance tune existing procedures and data
  • Analyze business needs and software requirements to help determine feasibility of work within time and resource constraints
  • Project life cycle involvement – planning, estimates, documentation, development, testing and deployment

What We’re Looking For

We value strong fundamentals, curiosity, and the ability to grow. If you’re stronger on some of these and lighter on others, that’s perfectly fine – we’re more interested in your ability to solve problems, collaborate, and grow with the team. If you have a solid foundation and are excited to learn, we want to hear from you.

  • Required fundamentals:
    • 3-4 years of recent experience with MS SQL Server 2016+, preferably in an e-commerce environment
    • Experience with designing SQL Structures and procedures to support highly transactional applications.
    • Experience fine-tuning SQL functions and stored procedures called hundreds or thousands of times per minute.
    • Deep understanding of database design principles
    • Experience with Data modeling
    • Creating tables for relational data, views, stored procedures, and indexes.
  • Technologies you may work with here (These are things you’ll encounter, not hard requirements, so exposure to even a few is great):
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • SQL Profiler, Performance Monitor, and other related tools
    • XML, JSON, MS Excel, MS SQL Server, and Tableau

Who You’ll Work With

You will work closely with the Manager of Data Engineering, application developers and project management to design, support, and optimize SQL solutions in a high transaction e-commerce environment.   We prioritize work-life balance, clear communication and helping each other succeed.

We offer:

  • Hybrid schedule:
    • Local (within 50 miles of our HQ in Paoli, PA): typically 2 days onsite per month (yes, month!)
    • Remote: 2 weeks onsite per year
  • Competitive compensation in-line with experience & impact, plus a quarterly bonus program
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision plus immediate vesting on your 401k match
  • A people-first culture where curiosity, ownership, and collaboration are valued
  • Opportunities to grow your technical skillset and contribute to impactful, high-visibility products
