How You Will Make an Impact
  • Manage and supervise a team of mailroom and distribution staff, including scheduling, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee the sorting, processing, and distribution of all incoming and outgoing mail, interoffice correspondence, and packages.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of mail to various departments and individuals within the organization.
  • Maintain inventory of mailroom supplies and equipment, initiating orders as needed.
  • Operate and maintain mailroom machinery such as postage meters, inserters, and mail sorters.
  • Implement and enforce mailroom policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and postal regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mail delivery, equipment malfunctions, and staff performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize distribution processes and meet internal client needs.
  • Generate reports on mail volume, distribution costs, and staff productivity.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure adherence to security protocols for handling sensitive documents and packages.

Required Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in mailroom operations, distribution services, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of postal regulations, shipping carriers, and mailroom equipment.
  • Proficiency in using mailroom software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver's license may be required for local deliveries.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
