Mailroom Manager
Overview
The Mailroom Manager is responsible for overseeing daily mailroom operations, supporting mailroom team members, and helping ensure mail sorting, distribution, packaging, and shipping are completed accurately and efficiently. This position helps maintain smooth department workflows, strong team performance, and high-quality service for customers.
This role also supports the mailroom by training staff, monitoring daily goals, coordinating with other departments, maintaining supplies and equipment, handling escalated issues or special customer requests, and helping ensure daily mailroom tasks are completed on time.
Key Functions & Responsibilities
Lead and supervise mailroom team members to ensure daily goals are met
Manage workflows for mail sorting, distribution, packaging, and shipping
Maintain operational efficiency and accuracy under tight timelines
Coordinate with other departments to improve service delivery
Train new staff and conduct performance evaluations
Oversee supply levels, equipment maintenance, and compliance with company procedures
Handle escalated issues or special customer requests
Monitor team productivity and help ensure work is completed accurately and on time
Support daily mailroom operations and assist where needed
Assist with mailroom-related errands as needed, including trips to the post office, UPS, or similar locations
Report department concerns, workflow issues, or staff-related matters to management as needed
Complete additional projects and duties as assigned by management

Prior experience in a fast-paced operations environment

Pay Range
Earn $42,000 per year or more, depending on experience
