This position is an administrative position handling mainly clerical to administrative work within the department and in a team environment. This position supports most other department positions and requires the person to understand the functions of their position and how it affects the departments workflow and how it affects each person’s actual work. This position is responsible for processing all incoming and outgoing mail within the office for all departments. This person will also assist with the scanning of claims documents.  

Essential Functions

Mailroom

  • Process large volume of outgoing mail on a daily basis
  • Pick up all letters, envelopes, checks, etc. throughout the day
  • Pick up mail from post office in the morning
  • Open and process mail and ensure delivery to correct department
  • Prepare shipping labels and packages
  • Arrange mail for courier services
  • Deliver mail to post office daily
  • Restock paper in copiers
  • Have the ability to troubleshoot mailroom equipment
  • Keep mailroom clean and organized

Claims

  • Properly handle confidential information and materials
  • Support the preparation of materials for scanning
  • Ensure that all forms are scanned, no missing pages
  • Scan and import all materials into correct folders
  • Keep scanning area organized at all times
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Must have a vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance and be able to make pick-ups and deliveries as needed
  • Understand how to operate all necessary equipment including, but not limited to, copier, postage machine, and inserter
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good customer service skills
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Good attendance
  • Good work attitude, adaptability and multi-tasking abilities
  • Independent/self-motivated and ability to work in team environment
  • Willingness to work outside scheduled work hours as needed, especially during our busy season
  • Use judgment to identify and report problems to a supervisor and contribute to resolving them
  • May require light to moderate lifting (40 lbs)
  • Hourly Rate: $18/hr
