Job description

Position: Human Resources Intern

Department: Human Resources

Office Hours: Monday- Friday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, onsite

Position Overview

The Human Resources Intern maintains an efficient office environment through a variety of organizational tasks. The individual in this position is expected to perform these tasks to support a wide range of employees and departments.

Reporting Structure

The Human Resources Intern works directly with the 1NYPAdmin team and under the Human Resources Senior Manager on a daily basis. The individual also works with other members of the Human Resources team and all employees as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming calls, messages, and faxes for employees alongside the 1NYP team
  • Greet all incoming visitors, and ensure they are directed to the right place
  • Support administrative office tasks such as mail sorting, scanning, shredding, filing, and general document organization
  • Manage all office supplies and company cafes, keeping them clean and organized
  • Maintain supply closet and mailroom organization
  • Liaise with building management company for service, scheduling, insurance, and building IDs
  • Maintain company-wide conference room schedules and assist with room setup as needed
  • Support HR event logistics, including food orders, room setup, supplies, materials, and post-event cleanup
  • Assist with managing swag inventory, including tracking quantities, organizing items, and supporting distribution for events or employee initiatives
  • Support various HR and departmental projects as needed, including onsite engagement events, social media initiatives, employee experience efforts, and other administrative projects
