Job description

Job Overview
The Operations Analyst Internship provides a hands-on learning experience for students or recent graduates interested in aviation operations and ground handling services. The intern will work closely with the Operations Management team to gain practical exposure to airport operations, safety protocols, and service delivery while developing essential skills in coordination, problem-solving, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Operations Management team in coordinating ground handling activities, including cabin cleaning, ramp support, GSE, passenger services, baggage handling, and cargo security.
  • Collect, understand, and verify operational data and reports to support departmental initiatives and leadership decision-making.
  • Gather statistics, prepare reports, and analyze performance metrics for equipment or operations.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and other operational tools for tracking resources, schedules, and performance.
  • Assist in documenting operational procedures, incident reports, and compliance-related activities.
  • Participate in special projects to optimize workflow, enhance customer service, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist managers with daily operations, coordinate ground handling, and support special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Gain exposure to safety, regulatory, and compliance standards specific to ground handling and aviation operations.
  • Collaborate with and learn from senior operations managers, supervisors, and specialized personnel to understand best practices and real-world operational challenges.
  • Receive guidance in analyzing operational data, preparing reports, and presenting findings to leadership for decision-making.
  • Opportunities to observe and contribute to mentorship initiatives within the team, supporting knowledge sharing and skill development among junior and new staff.

Work Environment
While performing the essential functions of this position the employee is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions, may work in high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, and general office conditions requiring sitting and computer use for many hours at a time.
Physical Demands
While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to stand walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, speak and hear, and lift, and/or move up to 50 pounds. Other essential functions include sitting at a desk, phone usage, computer usage, and all other general office conditions.
