Position Summary:
The Corporate Information Services team at UHS is looking for motivated professionals to join our cutting edge team and implement technology solutions to improve healthcare quality and safety, improve patient care, and engage patients and their families in their healthcare.
As an Application Analyst Intern (Cerner) you will have the opportunity to work on real-time and meaningful projects, develop your technical skills, collaborate and network with various teams, and receive mentorship.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Participates in lunch and learn sessions to collaborate on UHS IS priorities.
  • Participates in IS projects.
  • Shadows Information Services employees to learn the different roles.
  • Gains familiarity with different healthcare IS systems.
Qualifications
Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or a related degree from accredited college or university. Student must be rising into senior year (at minimum, must have 1 st semester of junior year completed).
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications '
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Desire to learn and share ideas in a collaborative work environment
