Job Description:
The analyst will work on Epic ambulatory, ancillary, inpatient, or revenue cycle healthcare applications systems to develop, implement, maintain, support, and troubleshoot healthcare applications. Will participate in healthcare applications project development, design and implementation, maintenance and problem solving of healthcare applications issues. Provides customer service to constituents.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education & Certification Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in healthcare, public/business administration, computer science, information systems, or related field. Four (4) years of IT application analyst experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• Current Epic certification in the relevant module(s) required at the time of hire and NEW certification obtained within three (3) months of appointment if requires additional certification(s) determined by Clinical Informatics Department leadership.
Experience Requirements:
• Up to five (5) years of progressively responsible Epic experience in a healthcare environment as an Epic technical support analyst, application analyst, or certified end user.
• Participated in at least one (1) Epic new implementation or major optimization project.
• Understanding of clinical workflows, documentation standards, and Epic application capabilities.
• Experience in hospital or outpatient settings with exposure to interdisciplinary collaboration.
Skills & Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of healthcare operations and terminology.
• Basic knowledge of principles of healthcare applications, project management, and information systems.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Competence with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
