Job description

Position Objective
The Mailroom Clerk is responsible for the receipt, sorting, distribution, and shipment of mail, packages, and publishing materials across Dark Horse Comics. This role coordinates with the Print Department and other internal teams to ensure the timely and accurate handling of complimentary copies, advance materials, and all inbound and outbound shipments.
Primary Responsibilities
Mail & Package Operations
  • Conduct daily mail runs, collecting outgoing and delivering incoming mail and packages. Use of a personal vehicle or box truck may be required.
  • Prepare and process outgoing shipments using appropriate carriers and shipping methods.
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Assist with general shipping and receiving duties, including unloading deliveries, verifying shipments, and stocking materials as needed.

Complimentary Copies & Print Coordination
  • Sort and distribute publishing advance copies according to provided distribution lists.
  • Pick, pack, and mail publishing complimentary copies to various locations per distribution lists.
  • Work closely with the Print Department to mail and deliver samples requiring inbound and outbound quality control checks.
  • Pull, pick, and pack material requisition requests from various departments and ship per provided instructions.

General Duties
  • Perform other shipping, receiving, or mail-related duties as assigned.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Required
  • Prior experience in mailroom operations, shipping/receiving, or a similar role preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and transport packages as required by the role.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Familiarity with shipping software and carrier procedures is a plus.
