Job description

We are looking for an experienced LMS Administrator to support learning operations for a manufacturing organization in Plymouth, Minnesota. This Contract position will play a central role in maintaining a reliable, engaging learning environment for employees and business partners while helping teams deliver high-quality training programs. The ideal candidate combines strong learning systems expertise with the ability to coordinate across stakeholders, improve workflows, and ensure smooth execution of learning initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Administer the learning management system to support training delivery, user access, and day-to-day platform operations aligned with business needs.
• Configure and maintain key LMS functions such as course setup, session scheduling, learner enrollment, account management, permissions, automated messages, assignments, and testing activities.
• Oversee the release of learning content by performing validation checks, resolving system issues, and confirming courses are ready for launch.
• Produce and maintain reports that help teams monitor training activity, measure outcomes, and support decision-making.
• Keep training data accurate by updating course details, curriculum structures, schedule adjustments, and instructor information within the system.
• Contribute to the creation and refinement of LMS procedures, standards, and operating practices that strengthen consistency and efficiency.
• Deliver guidance and end-user training to employees, leaders, facilitators, and subject matter experts on effective LMS processes and usage.
• Evaluate existing learning workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend enhancements to system adoption and deployment.
• Support additional learning technologies, including virtual instructor-led training tools, assessment platforms, and related solutions as needed.
• Assist with Workday-related learning deployment activities by coordinating with external trainers, preparing specifications, maintaining transition documentation, and supporting implementation efforts.

• 5+ years of experience supporting learning management systems, HRIS platforms, or closely related learning technology environments.

• Cornerstone preferred.

• Hands-on experience administering LMS platforms, including course configuration, user management, enrollments, permissions, and reporting.

• Strong background in HRIS analysis and working knowledge of human resources information systems and databases.

• Experience supporting HRIS or LMS implementation activities, process documentation, and system optimization efforts.

• Ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot platform problems, and maintain high levels of data accuracy across complex training records.

• Comfortable partnering with cross-functional stakeholders and explaining system processes to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.

• Proficiency in reporting, data review, and using system insights to improve learning operations and user experience.

• Experience with additional learning technologies such as assessment tools or virtual training platforms is preferred.
