Job description

Location(s): Twin Cities Metro, TBD
Reports to: Store Director
Classification: Non-union / Salaried-exempt $78,000 - $83,000 / year, based on experience
Hours: Sunday - Saturday
Assist the Store Director with store operations to meet the standards set forth by the company. Help ensure firm cost controls, overall profitability, low turnover, engaged employees and a best in market customer experience.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years with Department Manager experience
  • Proven success managing gross profit, inventory and labor management
  • Commitment to coach, develop and deliver timely feedback to direct reports
  • Sound problem solving and decision-making track record
  • Aspirations for continued learning /development for future advancement opportunities

Critical competencies attributed to the Assistant Store Director role:
Overall - Develop department leadership teams that operate stores to company standards, maximizing customer satisfaction, sales, and profits, while managing labor.
Merchandising -- Develop department teams that execute the company's merchandising and operations initiatives while remaining locally relevant to maximize sales and profits.
Financial - Assist in developing department teams that achieve and hold them accountable for operating departments that meet and exceed financial metrics.
People Development - Coach, train, and develop department managers and employees to maximize their potential, creating engaged employees throughout the store.
This is a salaried position eligible for an annual bonus. Schedule expectations are a minimum of 26 Sundays a year.
