Job description

Enterprise Electrical is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Training & Development Assistant to provide administrative and logistical support for our growing Training & Development function.

This role supports the coordination and delivery of employee learning programs, including onboarding, technical training, apprenticeship development, leadership development, compliance training, and other organizational learning initiatives.

Working closely with the Training Content & LMS Specialist and Director of Training & Development, this position helps ensure employees and instructors have the information, materials, scheduling, and logistical support needed for a successful learning experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain the department training calendar and coordinate learning events.
  • Schedule training rooms, virtual meetings, instructors, facilitators, subject matter experts, and guest speakers.
  • Coordinate employee registration, participant rosters, attendance, and training records.
  • Prepare and distribute training invitations, confirmations, reminders, and follow-up communications.
  • Prepare training materials, participant packets, sign-in sheets, name badges, evaluations, and classroom supplies.
  • Assist with classroom and virtual training setup and provide support during training sessions.
  • Enter and maintain training information within the Learning Management System (LMS) and departmental databases.
  • Maintain organized training documentation, department records, standard operating procedures, and forms.
  • Monitor the department inbox and respond to routine employee questions regarding training programs, schedules, registration, and enrollment.
  • Support onboarding and new hire orientation activities.
  • Assist with recruiting, tracking, and monitoring apprentice training and performance.
  • Collect participant evaluations and feedback and assist with routine training and participation reporting.
  • Maintain training libraries, learning resources, supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Coordinate printing, shipping, and distribution of training materials to company locations.
  • Assist with vendor scheduling, meetings, departmental projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in administrative support, office coordination, training coordination, customer service, or a related field.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, Office Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience scheduling meetings, training sessions, or events.
  • Previous experience supporting Learning & Development, Training, or Human Resources.
  • Experience working with an LMS or HRIS.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist Certification.
  • Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) certification.
  • Association for Talent Development (ATD) coursework or training.
Position Details
  • Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday during normal business hours
  • Occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work may be required to support training events, orientations, or special projects.
  • Overtime may be required based on business needs and will be compensated in accordance with applicable law and company policy.
  • Occasional travel between company locations or external training facilities may be required.
  • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position is primarily performed in an office environment with frequent interaction with employees, managers, instructors, vendors, and subject matter experts.

The role requires prolonged periods of sitting and computer use, frequent use of standard office equipment, and the ability to assist with classroom and training room setup. The employee must be able to lift training materials, boxes, and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
