Job description

Overview
The Implementation Manager is accountable for the operational execution of the project plan for new customers or new projects specific to existing customers. They will partner with the client services organization to meet client expectations and revenue goals, as well as with any/all internal departments in support of the plan execution to include IT, product, product development, operations, finance, and training. They will define and lead the creation of project implementation project plans, identify process improvement opportunities, coordinate and manage the client implementation effort with cross-functional groups, monitor complex operational reporting, and facilitate resolution of delivery issues as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the implementation and operation team in day-to-day activities and collaborate as necessary to successfully complete the implementation.
  • Partner with internal product development, operations, and client services groups, as well as external clients, to ensure that all parties are engaged and notified as to the implementation process and operational status.
  • Work to continuously look for process improvement opportunities and provide necessary feedback to the process improvement team.
  • Mentors staff to maximize performance and potential.
  • Assists in maintaining and monitoring team members' job satisfaction and morale.
  • Handle remote project collaboration to execute milestones/tasks.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of experience overseeing all aspects of a client implementation effort operationally.
  • 2 years of experience leading cross-functional teams of implementation performers on multiple efforts simultaneously and driving the team to successful (on time, on budget, minimal issues) implementations.
  • 2 years of experience evaluating complex operational reports, identifying concerns, and working individually and through cross-functional teams to re-align delivery back to target performance.
  • 2 years of experience working within an enterprise Change management process.
  • Ability to oversee all aspects of a client implementation effort operationally, as well as seek solutions ensuring that key cross-functional groups are not over committed with multiple client request.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and result oriented leadership skills with the ability to be a successful team builder in a time critical environment.
  • Continually monitors individual progress to ensure meeting of specific deadlines.
  • Experience and ability to report project status to executive level stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles.
  • Knowledge of NCQA, HEDIS & CMS Stars.
  • Basic knowledge of IT applications, data processing, and medical claims processing.
  • PMP certification.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years' experience leading projects and/or client implementations.
  • Willing/able to work a flexible schedule around project deadlines and implementations, as necessary.

  • Curiosity and Learning Agility: A strong desire to learn and explore new methodologies, techniques, and tools in the field of data analysis and insights generation is essential for staying current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Resilience: The ability to handle pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and overcome setbacks is important in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous analytical environment.

Base compensation ranges from $85,000 to $117,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
