Job Summary:
The HR Intern provides support to the Human Resources team reporting directly to the HR Generalist. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities related to recruitment, project support, and administrative support within the HR department. The HR Intern will play a crucial role in managing job postings, employee life cycle, project support, and data management, while also providing essential administrative support to the team. The HR Intern will develop skills in employee lifecycle, HR Operations, and project support.
Essential Duties & Functions:
- Assist HR Generalist with Operational Projects
- Assist HR team with planning, coordinating, and executing departmental projects, including tracking milestones and deliverables.
- Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for HR initiatives and process improvement projects.
- Prepare presentations, meeting materials, and project documentation in collaboration with HR project leads
- Communicate with team members to gather information and provide project updates as needed.
- Employee Onboarding and Offboarding
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding, including documentation, system access, and communication
- Aid in coordinating phone screens, background checks, new hire reporting, and separation documentation
- Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential employee personnel records
- Administrative Support
- Providing general administrative support to the HR team, inputting and pulling training reports, inputting data/payroll adjustments, and maintaining HR documentation.
- Partner with HR team on communication projects
- Assist with internal and external communications
- Document new procedures and update existing procedures as needed
- Partner with Industrial Talent Services
- Support recruitment activities for salary positions
- Assist on Talent Campaign deployment with HR Generalist support

Qualifications:
Education
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- Knowledge of Human Resources principles and procedures
- Knowledge of computer software such as MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the ability to quickly learn and navigate other computer systems

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Work is performed largely in an office environment and on the manufacturing plant floor.
- Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with at least 30 hours a week.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Fine motor skills for operating tools or machinery.
- Work in hot, cold, or humid environments.
- Occasional exposure to loud machinery or equipment.
- Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
