We area small but mighty and dynamic group,driving a new initiative focused on expanding global talent for Disney Entertainment Television across LATAM, APAC, EMEA, and Canada. Our team conducts intensiveresearch to identify influential talent in each region and builds connections with casting directors, agents, managers,producers, and the Disneylocal content teams abroad. Byfostering relationships in addition toscouting up-and-coming international actors, we aim to bring top talent into US productions forDET, increasing international viewership and promoting diversity in entertainment.If you're excited about the opportunityto contributeto Disney's global talent initiatives, we'd love to hear from you!

This is a full-time internship, and the approximatedates are fromAugust 2026 through December 2026. If selected for this internship, you will report directly to the Manager of Casting. A cover letter indicating your interest in the International Casting Intern Fall 2026 position is required.

What You Will Do

We are seeking someone who is highly self-motivated, with a proactive mindset for problem-solving and research, and who can adapt quickly to changing priorities. You'll ensure smooth operation of day-to-day functions by keeping the team's materials, files, and communication up to date and organized, maintaining clear records, and helping anticipate upcoming needs so nothing slips through the cracks.

In addition to supporting these core operational needs, this role will also contribute to the team through a range of administrative, communication, and project-based responsibilities. Providing day-to-day support to the team through administrative assistance, written communications, and project coordination, while also shadowing meetings and calls to gain exposure to international casting processes and industry practices.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting research on up-and-coming international actors and entertainment talent across key regions (Latin America, APAC, EMEA, Canada).

  • Tracking and analyzing international entertainment trends, shows, and talent trajectories to support casting decisions and department strategy.

  • Maintaining and updating the international casting databases (AirTable, Qwire, SharePoint), phone sheet (Edge), and project status tracker (Excel)

  • Tracking upcoming international film festivals (TIFF, San Sebastian, Venice) to identify notable international films, and key industry trends.

  • Coordinating and managing talent meetings, including booking conference rooms, setting up general spaces, escorting talent.

  • Reading incoming scripts, writing detailed character breakdowns, and supporting various international or domestic projects across Disney Entertainment Television.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to assume responsibility, function effectively in a team environment and independently, with minimal supervision

  • A sense of urgency and a proactive mindset

  • Demonstrate strong time-management skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information

  • Proficiency in Canva

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some international knowledge such as skills learned overseas, global and culture awareness, lived or studies abroad, etc.

  • Bilingual preferred, but not necessary

  • Developing knowledge and comfort using AI

  • Working knowledge of iMovie, Adobe, Premiere, Final Cut Pro, QuickTime, with ability to edit/upload actor materials (demos, clips, etc.)

  • Previous Internship or volunteer experience in production, casting offices, or talent agencies

Education

  • Senior year preferred

  • Majoring or minoring in Film Studies, Film Production, Theatre Arts, Writing, Fine Arts, Business, Communications

  • Acting classes or theatre involvement

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

  • The approximate dates of this internship are August 2026 through December 2026

  • Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm PT for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, CA area

  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in California is $22.50 per hour.
