About the Role & Program:

Disney Entertainment Television develops and produces compelling programming and some of the most successful talked-about series on television today! The DET Communications department is responsible for handling all communication efforts for ABC Entertainment, Hulu Originals, Freeform, Onyx Collective, FX and 20th Television. As the DET Communications intern, you would rotate throughout several of the brands to assist teams as needed.

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Burbank, California area from July/August 2026-January 2027.

What You Will Do:

As a DET Communications intern, you will rotate among various Communications teams within Disney Entertainment Television, supporting leaders and assisting with project work. Your responsibilities will include compiling daily press clips and raves, building and maintaining schedules and press lists, and assisting in writing press materials such as press releases, loglines, press blasts, and bios. You will also take meeting notes and disseminate them to teams, aid in press pitching, support the team at publicity events, contribute to brainstorming sessions and publicity strategy meetings, and collaborate on social media efforts.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proficiency in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with colleagues across departments at all levels

  • Experience working on prioritizing multiple projects, and managing assignments from partners in a fast-paced team environment

  • Experience in handling confidential information and maintaining attention to detail

  • Previous experience (academic or internship) in media/PR

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google programs

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

  • Fully available from July/August 2026 through January 2027

  • Fully available from Monday through Friday, primarily, and occasionally nights and weekends for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Burbank, California area

  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work in the Burbank, California area
