Job Description:

The Business Affairs team is seeking a Vice President of Business Affairs to join the team in Burbank, CA, reporting to the Head of Business Affairs for Disney Entertainment Television. This newly established role will be responsible for defining and leading Business Affairs strategy for creator-driven content, overseeing the structuring, negotiation, and management of deals with digital creators, talent, and production partners supporting Disney's direct-to-consumer platforms. The Vice President will play a critical role in building scalable deal frameworks, establishing best practices, and shaping Disney's approach to the creator economy, enabling growth across digital, social, and emerging content models. This executive will serve as a strategic partner to Content, Platform, and Studio leadership, bringing deep expertise in creator-focused dealmaking and market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the negotiation of complex agreements with creators, talent, influencers, production companies, and digital media partners

  • Define and implement scalable deal frameworks, templates, and playbookstailored to the creator economy

  • Structure innovative deal modelsacross formats (short-form, long-form, and emerging formats)

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadershipon trends, risks, and opportunities within the creator ecosystem

  • Partner closely with Content, DTC platforms, and Strategy teams to enable new creator-led business models

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Production, Marketing, and Strategy to drive alignment and execution

  • Help establish and evolve new Business Affairs capabilities and operating modelssupporting creator initiatives

  • Build and maintain strong external relationshipsacross the creator and digital media landscape

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in business affairs, legal, or complex dealmaking, including significant experience in digital media and/or direct-to-consumer platforms

  • Deep expertise negotiating talent, production, and/or licensing agreements

  • Demonstrated experience working within the creator economy, including digital creators, influencers, and emerging media business models

  • Proven ability to lead high-value, complex negotiationsand influence senior stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • JD strongly preferred, with bar membership in California or New York

  • Experience building or scaling new deal frameworks or business modelsin evolving content ecosystems

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $236,000 to $316,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
