Disney Direct to Consumer (DTC) operates Disney+ - the dedicated streaming home for movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic, along withThe Simpsons, as well as Hulu, with an expansive slate of entertainment from every major U.S. broadcast network as well as 20th Century Studios, ABC, ABC News, ESPN, FX, Searchlight Pictures, and many more. As the flagship direct-to-consumer streaming services from The Walt Disney Company, Disney+, Hulu and Hulu + Live TV serve as a connection point for audiences around the world with an unmatched collection of award-winning general entertainment, gold-standard family programming, the most trusted news, and global sports programming from ESPN. Our DTC team is looking for hardworking team-players to join the Viewer Experience team, who will thrive upon the legacy of Disney and Hulu, embrace unconventional thinking, and who are passionate about contributing to The Walt Disney Company's direct-to-consumer (DTC) experience through customer centricity, strategic hard work, and determination.

Job Summary:

This role supports the SVP of the DTC Streaming VX organization, and is a key member of the VX leadership team, working to help optimize the team's everyday working rhythm across multiple locations, time zones, and geographies.

The ideal candidate will be a trusted partner who helps create structure, rhythm, and follow-through for a large, global Viewer Experience organization. This person will help the SVP stay focused on the highest-impact priorities by managing complex calendars and travel, coordinating leadership forums and site visits, preparing agendas and materials, tracking decisions and action items, and supporting clear, timely communications across teams. The role requires excellent judgment, discretion, strong writing skills, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage the operating rhythm for the SVP and VX leadership team, including staff meetings, business reviews, site visits, leadership updates, All-Hands meetings, and recurring cross-functional forums; ensure agendas, pre-reads, follow-ups, and action items are clear, timely, and consistently tracked.

  • Manage dynamic calendars, make travel arrangements, process expense reports, and track action items

  • Coordinate complex executive travel and site visits, including agenda planning, leader coordination, room logistics, transportation, working sessions, team events, and follow-up materials across locations such as Santa Monica, San Antonio, and other VX sites.

  • Develop relationships with internal team members at all levels of the organization, and external partners across TWDC that contribute to VX's success.

  • Communicate with internal team members and external customers and partners to help support and build a positive culture of collaboration, transparency and positivity.

  • Coordinate events for team members, offsite meetings, client events, and general morale

  • Prioritize calendars and meetings, run the logistics for meetings in support of the SVP of VX, and the wider VX Leadership team, capture and distribute meeting minutes, and always be one step ahead

  • Maintain a disciplined follow-up system for commitments, decisions, open questions, and leadership action items; proactively close loops with the right stakeholders and ensure key items do not stall.

  • Be a positive influence and go-to person for the team

  • Draft newsletter and press releases to the VX organization

  • Consult with leadership to develop effective communication plans for the department

  • Write interdepartmental memos, letters and ad-hoc business correspondence

  • Own end-to-end management of interdepartmental meetings like team All-Hands

  • See opportunities to get ahead of emerging topics that may require communication within our teams

  • Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential, sensitive, or time-critical information, including organizational changes, people matters, executive communications, budget topics, and business escalations.

  • Help shape clear, polished, and leader-ready communications that reinforce VX priorities, team culture, leadership expectations, and key business updates across a large, distributed organization.

  • Exercise strong judgment in prioritizing requests, escalating emerging issues, and helping the SVP focus time on the highest-impact people, business, customer, and operational priorities.

  • Supporting general workplace experience needs such as seating management, coordinating with partners on updating internal mapping system and resources, departmental compliance procedures, for example.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3 - 5 years' administrative assistant experience, supporting a senior-level Executive

  • Experience drafting written communications, social media engagement posts, creating slide decks, agendas, newsletters, etc.

  • Proven ability to anticipate needs and prioritize tasks accordingly

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and creating order in a fast-moving environment; able to identify what needs structure, propose practical solutions, and move work forward without waiting for perfect direction.

  • Proven skills at building and maintaining business relationships, multi-tasking and being graceful under pressure

  • A "can-do" attitude, nothing is too large or too small

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Solid project and vendor management skills with the ability to source vendors (e.g. caterers), gather bids, evaluate options and manage to high service levels

  • Experience managing complex calendars, travel arrangements and professional meetings/events

  • Experience coordinating events, including but not limited to team offsite meetings and employee engagement opportunities

  • Strong technical proficiency in all Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook), Google Suite and Teams

Nice to Haves:

  • Knowledge of the digital/television industry

  • Experience working across TWDC and the DTC Streaming organization

  • Interest in learning the Viewer Experience business, including customer support operations, BPO/vendor partnerships, self-service, product and technology roadmaps, workforce operations, and executive reporting.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $79,400.00 to $106,400.00 per year based on a 40- hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
