Position Purpose
Leads the district's HR Operations function, ensuring employee services, administrative processes, records, data workflows, and operational support are handled consistently, efficiently, and accurately. Oversees the HR Operations team and ensures clear ownership, strong coordination, and continuity across high-volume HR processes.
This role is intended to provide clear operational ownership and execution discipline across the administrative side of the Talent function.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations Leadership
  1. Oversee day-to-day HR Operations functions, including employee services, leave and benefits administration, onboarding processing, employee records, data workflows, and operational support
  2. Ensure HR Operations processes are completed accurately, consistently, and on time
  3. Monitor workload distribution and support clear ownership across operational anchor areas
  4. Maintain visibility into service volume, workflow bottlenecks, and operational risk areas
  5. Help ensure the HR Operations team functions as a coordinated operational unit rather than a collection of disconnected tasks

Team Leadership & Support
  1. Supervise HR Operations staff and support clear role ownership across operational functions
  2. Provide coaching, guidance, and follow-up to ensure quality and consistency of work
  3. Support cross-training and continuity planning across the HR Operations team
  4. Ensure the team balances clear ownership with flexibility during peak periods and launch demands

Process Execution & Workflow Oversight
  1. Ensure HR Operations workflows are followed consistently across the district
  2. Oversee internal handoffs related to onboarding, employee changes, leave processing, records, employee service requests, and administrative support
  3. Help ensure work moves cleanly between HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, and HR School Partners
  4. Support timely completion of notices, forms, documentation, and recurring HR transactions

Records, Systems & Data Integrity
  1. Maintain visibility into HR records, system updates, administrative documentation, and process integrity
  2. Ensure operational ownership of data accuracy, records quality, and routine reporting support
  3. Help identify and resolve operational gaps, inefficiencies, or process bottlenecks
  4. Support implementation of tools, tracking methods, and system improvements

Employee Services & Process Improvement
  1. Support a responsive and service-oriented experience for employees and leaders interacting with HR Operations
  2. Ensure front-end HR intake, employee support, and routine service requests are handled effectively
  3. Identify opportunities to improve systems, tools, and administrative workflows
  4. Support implementation of operational improvements, automation, or process changes as appropriate

Minimum Qualifications
  1. 3+ years of experience in HR operations, HR administration, or process-oriented HR support
  2. Experience coordinating or overseeing administrative workflows

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience in education, public sector HR, or a multi-site organization
  2. Experience supervising staff or leading administrative functions
  3. Familiarity with HRIS, records systems, and employee service processes
