Overview

A well established hospitality organization in Temecula Wine Country is seeking an experienced Human Resources and Talent Operations Manager to oversee HR operations across multiple properties.

This is a hands on leadership role responsible for recruiting, employee relations, compliance, and HR systems that support a fast paced hospitality environment. The position requires a practical HR professional who understands the operational realities of restaurants, hospitality, and service driven teams.

The right candidate will bring strong experience managing employee relations matters, maintaining compliance with California labor laws, and building structured hiring and documentation systems that protect the organization while supporting team development.

This role works closely with executive leadership and operational management teams to ensure consistent HR practices across the organization.

9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Position Overview

The Human Resources and Talent Operations Manager oversees the day to day execution of HR operations across multiple hospitality properties. The role focuses on building strong recruiting systems, maintaining consistent documentation practices, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations.

This leader works closely with operations teams to address employee relations matters, support management development, and ensure that HR systems are structured, compliant, and scalable.

The position requires a balance of operational judgment, compliance awareness, and the ability to support managers in maintaining consistent workplace standards.


Key Responsibilities


Recruiting and Talent Management

Lead recruiting efforts for non executive positions across multiple locations

Develop structured hiring systems that improve hiring efficiency and candidate quality

Recruit and evaluate management level candidates

Support succession planning and leadership development within operations teams


Employee Relations and Risk Management

Manage employee relations matters including investigations and corrective action

Support managers in addressing performance issues and workplace concerns

Ensure consistent application of company policies

Provide guidance to leadership on conflict resolution and employee management


Compliance and Documentation

Maintain accurate and compliant employee records

Support compliance with California wage and hour regulations

Oversee workers compensation administration

Manage leave administration including FMLA and related programs

Ensure documentation related to disciplinary actions and terminations is complete and compliant

Assist with handbook updates and HR policy improvements


Systems and HR Infrastructure

Develop and maintain onboarding procedures for new hires

Implement performance documentation and management systems

Provide HR training and guidance for managers

Establish structured processes that improve consistency across locations


Organizational Collaboration

Work closely with executive leadership and operational management teams

Coordinate with accounting or finance leadership regarding payroll data accuracy

Support operational leaders with HR guidance while maintaining consistent compliance standards


Ideal Candidate Profile

7 to 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience

Experience in hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or multi location service environments strongly preferred

Strong working knowledge of California labor law

Experience managing employee relations matters independently

Experience handling workers compensation and leave administration

Proven recruiting success for both hourly and management level roles

Comfort working in fast paced, entrepreneurial organizations
